Vinyl shower curtains?

Question

Are vinyl shower curtains recyclable? I'm thinking not, but don't really know. If not, any ideas for reuse? It is torn at the top, so can no longer be used in the shower, but I hate to throw it out if it can't be recycled.

I use them to line the closet under the cat boxes. My husband has one that he uses when he changes the oil in the car. They are great for cutting up, and using as table covers if you have children who do arts and crafts, or to cover a picnic table, to keep your table cloth clean. They also work to lay down  under blankets at the park.

Put it with the plastics recycling -- it's a type of plastic.
