The United States has some scary statistics about violence against women.
The CDC claims 1 out of 4 women suffer from domestic violence:

According the the FBI, 32% of women who are murdered are murdered by husbands, boyfriends, partners, etc:

Does anyone know if the statistics are similar in the UK? Is this as big of a problem in the UK as it is in the US. Why or why not?
