Violent Velocity in good shape to win Journal Classified Claiming Stakes
Violent Velocity will be looking to use all his experience in order to succeed in the Journal Classified Claiming Stakes at Beverley in England on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. His performances in the current season have been really good, thus he has a solid
chance of shining in the class-6 event.
On the other hand, Moheebb is also an experienced campaigner and the bookies believe that he will be able to walk away with a cash prize of £1,811 from the 7 furlong 100 yard event. However, his confidence level will be low, as he has not won any race in
the ongoing season.
Due to this the punters might not risk a lot of bets on him and they might go with Violent Velocity in the end. He has also managed to impress the bookmakers, as they have given him a general starting price of 5 to 1.
The nine-year-old gelding has participated in a total of 85 events in his career, which goes onto show the amount of experience he has gained over these years. His strike rate is on the lower side though, as he has won on 11 occasions. Other than that, he
has secured the runner up spot on 15 times whereas finished third in nine races.
The 2012 season has proved to be a good one for the John Quinn’s trainee, as he has been victorious on a couple of times out of five appearances. He also finished as a runner up on the same number of times and failed to make an impression just once.
Out of his five races this year, Violent Velocity has appeared at Beverley on a couple of occasions and his performance at this venue has been really good. He was rated as the favourite in the first one and lived up to the expectations of everyone, winning
by one length.
In his second race at this venue, Namid’s son was priced 10 to 1 and he proved to be highly competitive in the end. He gave a tough time to the winner, but had to settle for the runner up position in the end.
Things seem to be headed in the right direction for the veteran runner. He will be partnered by L. McNiff in the race today.
