Violin Solo?

Hi. I'm 13 years old and I need a solo to audition for an orchestra. Do you recommend any pieces? I just finished playing Chaconne/Ciaconna from Partita No. 2 in D minor by Bach. And I played that for my local performing arts audition already so I'm looking for somethin new. Thanks.

i am a 14 year old violinist and i have had to play many solos for auditions. What i think you should do is play my personal favorite La Folia. This song has a range of ways to play at various speeds and a variety of dynamics. I would pick this pice considering the fact that for an audition you want to show how well you at violin playing it would give them a taste of what you can do.

Another choice would be Csardas or Meditation of Thais.

u r so lucky .. i wish i cud play violin in an orchestra but there isnt such a thing on my little island in the bahamas

for a classic u should try meditation from thais

or fur elise by beethoven

for a comtemporary song try hey there delilah or apologize
