  1. For a violin size.  theres only three main sizes. half, 3 quarters, and full. if your n 5th or six grade get a 3 quarter. if your older than that get a full.

  2. I've played violin for about 8 years now, and it's probably best to go to a store. There aren't that many different sizes. Once your arms are too long for you violin (you can stretch your arm out and wrap it around the neck) it's probably time for a new one. So go to a good music store and ask them to help you out! :) Good luck with your music.

  3. No, you can measure yourself.  See:

    You're probably going to need a full size (4/4).  Violins come in fractional sizes: 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16.

  4. if you have a violin on hand, you can see if your too big or too small for it. but you really have to go to a store if you don't know.

    hope i helped!
