Virat Kohli achieves career-best ODI ranking – Cricket News Update
The hard-hitting Indian batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Kohli-c2737, on Sunday reached his career-best ranking on ICC’s Player Rankings for ODI batsmen, as he climbed to No. 2 spot on the table following a Man of the Series performance in the recently concluded
ODI series against Sri Lanka.
The 23-year-old Delhi http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Paul-Anthony-Hibbert-c81005 last month entered the five-match One Day International series against Sri Lanka as the third-ranked ODI batsman, but finished the series climbing to No. 2 position.
The right-handed top-order batsman topped the runs chart of the series with a tally of 296 runs from five innings, at an average of 74. The tally also included two match winning centuries at Hambantota (106) and RPS Colombo (128 not
out).

The right-hander started with a century at Adelaide Oval during the 0-4 Test series whitewash at the hands of mighty Aussies, and backed it with a blistering 86-ball 133 not out against Sri Lanka in a Commonwealth Bank Series fixture at Bellerive Oval in February.
