Kohli, who leads the young batting bunch, told the local media today, “The young Indians players want to handle pressure. We want to improve in every game. Take as much responsibility as we can. We want to make use of every opportunity.”
Kohli scored marvellous 81 runs off 103 deliveries with the help of 6 fours and 1 six in yesterday’s 2nd ODI match at Queen’s Park Oval, steering the Men in Blue to bag second victory by 7 wickets.
After successfully passing through the World Cup and IPL tournaments, Kohli considers this series as another big breakthrough for him.
As the 22-year-old is batting at one-down position, he thinks this pressure to be useful for him in future. He said, “It would be a pressure. At number three, I could be going to bat in the first or in the 16th over. I wouldn't like to have this pressure.”
Kohli advises the young Indian blood to follow the footsteps of their seniors and perpetuate their hard-set legacy in the ongoing series.
