Virender Sehwag all praise for Australian bowling attack - Cricket News Update
The stand-in India captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739, on Monday praised the Australian bowling attack saying that it is the best attack he had ever faced Down Under.
In an interview with NDTV, the 33-year-old hard hitting opener admitted that his own form with the bat was not up to the mark, but he praised the Australian bowling attack for not giving the Indian batsmen even a bit of respite in the ongoing four-match
Test series, which the visitors trail 0-3.
Sehwag, who had come into the series at the back of a belligerent One Day International double century against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, has only managed to score a meagre 108 runs from five innings at an average of 21.60. The Delhi dasher conceded that he needed
to show more patience against the Aussie pacers.
"It's the best bowling attack I have faced, at least in Australia,” said Sehwag while speaking to the NDTV. “They are bowling in good areas and did not allow us to score many boundaries. I know I need to show patience against their bowling," he added further.
Sehwag will lead the tourists in the fourth and final Test of the series starting at Adelaide on Tuesday as the regular skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746’s
only innings at Perth.
The 33-year-old who recently led http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 to a 4-1 one-day series win over the West Indies at home, did not agree with the viewpoint that additional responsibility of leading the side would bring extra pressure on him.
"I think it is an opportunity...I have been the captain on couple of occasions,” said the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Paul-Anthony-Hibbert-c81005 when asked if captaincy will add to pressure. “It has been an honor. I don't think there is any pressure on me because of us losing the series," he added
further.
Sehwag also defended India’s back to back overseas Test series losses saying, they have been doing well abroad in the last ten years.
In August last year they were whitewashed by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 4-0 in the Test match series, and consequently lost the No.1 Test ranking to their conquerors.
