Virender Sehwag, the skipper of the Delhi Daredevils has said that their defeat against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 26 was mainly contributed towards the unfavourable pitch conditions.
While chasing a total of 161 runs put by Delhi on the board, the Royal Challengers Bangalore attained the target with three balls yet to play.
Talking to the media correspondents after the match, Sehwag said, “The ball was not coming on to the bat. It’s difficult to hit boundaries, until the ball is there to be hit. They cut a lot of grass, which we didn’t want, but we have to carry on with whatever
wicket we get.” The skipper of the Delhi squad was of the view that it was the poor bowling of his squad that mainly contributed towards the defeat of the team.
Commenting upon the poor display depicted by his bowlers, the legendary batsman said, “I think we gave too many boundary balls in the first six overs. They were not hitting boundaries but still they were getting boundaries because of our bad bowling.”
The skipper was of the view that despite giving away 65 runs in for a mere six overs, they came back to take hold of the match as Morne Morkell really bowled well and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yogesh-Nagar-c98297 also managed to bag a wicket for the team. However, by the end of the match,
the team’s performance with the ball deteriorated again which culminated in Bangalore grabbing the match easily.
Commenting upon his team’s performance in the tournament, Sehwag admitted that his boys will be under huge pressure as they could no longer afford to lose even a single match now. However, regarding this pressure as a positive development, the skipper also
said that this will also make his boys play with greater responsibility into the next games. The only things they needed to do is to back themselves and to correct their basics.

The Bangalore skipper was of the view that the innings played by Kohli was tremendous, the partnership right at the start gave the team much needed confidence, however he said that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 also fought back hard and tried to restrict them on a meagre score,
but then Syed Mohammad came in and played a splendid innings. Concluding his remarks, Vettori regarded his team’s performance against Delhi as good.
Kohli, the Man of the Match said that he had always looked forward to come out to bat at the third position, as this was the place which allowed him to get himself set and to play his shots. Thus, the batsman is enjoying this position. He said that they
were rather keen to win this match right from the start, as they had already lost three matches in a row and now striking back had become rather crucial.
