Aaron Finch of the Delhi Daredevils, feels that the skipper, Virender Sehwag is a great inspiration for the players of his team.
Finch, who represents the Australian team and is playing for Delhi Daredevils in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), said that skipper’s mere presence in
dressing room boosts the morale of team. "Sehwag brings in a lot to the table. For someone of his stature who has played international cricket for a long period, his experience is invaluable," said Finch.
The 24 year-old said that a player can learn a lot of batting techniques from the veteran. He also added that his presence has a positive impact and his support
can encourage a player, even in worst conditions.
Aaron’s hard hitting fetched a high price for him in the IPL format, he was signed in for $300,000 in the ongoing season, but unfortunately, he has been unable
to make his mark in the matches played so far.
Finch admitted that after three defeats in the IPL fourth edition, the team is under pressure and it’s difficult to get going in front of a big crowd.
In order to save themselves from exclusion, Delhi are now supposed to win seven out of the ten upcoming matches. The coach of the team also said, though, winning
the matches would be difficult but it is not impossible as they are trying hard to give a good performance as a team.
While talking about Irfan’s poor form, the coach said, "He may not have got a 70 or 80 but he is slowly improving and we expect him to do a good finishing job.
We would like him to score 20 off 20 or take a crucial wicket."
Delhi’s next encounter will be against the Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Gilchrist-c918, are doing superb with three
wins out of their four matches.
Delhi will have the advantage of playing at home, only if they utilise it well, unlike their previous two matches in Delhi.
Delhi Daredevils have been semi-finalists in the first two seasons of the IPL, however, in this season, they are languishing at the bottom of the table.
