The right-handed veteran shared that after he was dropped from the team before the 2007 World Cup, it was Dravid who insisted for his inclusion in the squad for the Champions Trophy, where he scored a century and a fifty to strengthen his position in the
team.
“To me Rahul Dravid is the perfect cricketer. His technique is so good that he can be at ease on any sort of wicket and in any sort of conditions,” said Sehwag.
The veteran duo had great partnerships on several occasions. Sehwag said it was always a learning experience watching Dravid from the other end, and that his excellent technique, shot execution and elephantine patience was unmatched.
“I’ve had a great time with him (Dravid), both in the dressing room and on the cricket field. Batting with him had been a great experience. He would encourage me to go for hundreds,” said the ageing right-handed opener.
The longest partnership between the two is against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, where in Lahore the pair gave a 410-run first wicket stand. Dravid remained unbeaten on 128 while they just fell short of breaking India’s highest partnership record of 413 which belongs to Vinoo
Mankad and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pankaj-Roy-c80700.

“I’ve not come across many players like him (Dravid). He was a perfect team man. He did everything for the team. He always thought for the team,” added the veteran.
Sehwag called his partner’s retirement the end of a significant era in Indian cricket. Players like Dravid don’t come every now and then, and filling his http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Peter-Hewitt-c66001 would be a big challenge. dedication and will be missed always by his team mates.
