Virgin Atlantic Economy?

Am flying with Virgin Atlantic from Gatwick to Orlando but am flying economy. Last time we flew with them it was Premium Economy with was very comfortable. Just was wondering what peoples opinion is of their economy service??

1, Be prepared to eat your dinner off the head of the guy in front of you, due to reduced leg room.

2, Be prepared to breathe the farts of the rich people in front of you.

3, Be prepared to put up with 11hours of engiine noise.

4, be prepared to be told they have run out of the drink you want, only because the persons behind the little curtain in front get priority.

Other than that the service is great!

P.S. The inflight entertainment isn't as good on the Orlando route as it is on some other routes. Opt for the double seating right near the back if you want a bit more privacy.

I flew Manchester to Orlando last year with Virgin in economy, and the year before the same trip with Monarch. Monarch were better, Monarch food was average, Virgin worse. In flight entertainment, Virgin better. The Virgin check in was appalling in the UK and Orlando. The on line check in was deemed invalid in the UK, and the website wouldn't work in the US. The queue organisation in Orlando was so rubbish that when we finally checked in, after seeing people taken from behind us and moved to the front of new queues, we could not sit together as a family of four. The cabin staff were at best mediocre, at worst disinterested in their customers. We've booked with Cosmos instead of Virgin for next year's Orlando trip.

The width of the seats is very small, and not a lot of leg room. The flight attendants are just brilliant (as they are in all cabins) and of course the TV system is very advanced. Food isn't very good but what economy airplane food is? Enjoy your trip.

Very little leg room other than that brilliant customer service.
