No, you don't need a sim card to use Virgin Mobile! Yay.

go to target they sell virgin moble or google and try to find a virgin moble store in your area

Virgin Mobile runs off of sprint towers which use CDMA service that does not require the use of sim cards. Only phones that run off of GSM service use sim cards, sooo, Virgin mobile does not use sim cards :D
