I have a ticket traveling from london to manchester return and i was supposed to be taking my husband put he doesnt want to come, is it possible for my friend to travel under his name?

  1. no not unless tickets have not been issued yet


  2. Tickets on trains in the UK are not specific to any one individual, so of course your friend may use that brought for your husband. The only exception would be if the ticket was brought on the basis that your husband holds some kind of railcard which your friend does not have.

  3. why not?  it does not actually have aname on it.

  4. The tickets are not based on named persons, the only restrictions really are if they are discounted tickets by a railcard the people travelling are holders of the appropriate railcard.
