we've been with Virgin media for a while now, we have the package of , homephone, broadband and the tv all this for like 25 pound a month. now Virgin are upping there prices to around 40 pound a month, this is a total rip off.... can anybody explain why, and is it because they've sorted their differences with sky?

  1. no

  2. Aren't they always.

Oh, you mean the phone company.

  3. The £25 price was always a teaser rate to get new subscribers.  If you look at your contract you will see that the offer price was always subject to increase.  The only way to get back to the cheaper rate is to switch to bt or sky (if you have a land line connected) and then have Virgin make you a come back to us offer.  Unfortunately we have no land line to this house and the cost of having one installed is prohibitive.  The cost of Mobiles and mobile broadband is now falling so fast that switching from a fixed line for this and using freesat/digital terrestrial may be cheaper soon.
