right.... I'm not pregnant, im not likely to be pregnant neither as have had the implant for just over a year now. my periods are often short and light, and i rarely get any period pains. however for some reason i havent stopped bleeding since my last period, that was 4 or 5 weeks ago now, i have no pain, i just havent stopped bleeding! its not heavy, but it varies from day to day, it could be really light one day or slightly heavier. its just starting to bug me now, should i go and see a doctor or am i just being silly? this has never happened before as my usual periods only normally last about 3 or 4 days....

  1. call your DR office and let them know what is happening and see what the Dr recommends you do

  2. bleeding like that is not normal. You should go see your Dr.

  3. i'd go the doctor just to be on the safe side. It's probably nothing but it's best to get checked out just in case :)

  4. The implant contains the same hormones as the shot and the Mirena IUD, both of which are known to lighten and in many cases, completely eliminate menstrual flow.

If you're concerned, DO see your doctor.  If you're thinking you MIGHT be pregnant, just take a test to put your mind at ease.  But I'm betting that it's just the hormones.  Be prepared...you might go a few more weeks or even several months and then suddenly start bleeding.  This is probably normal, but DO speak to your doc about your concerns.
