Question:

Virgos what do you do when your really angry?

I'm curious, because right now, I'm pretty infuriated. How do you guys deal with it?

  1. I'm not a Virgo, I'm a Pisces. I've had similar feelings to what you describe and I think it's more of a human thing. I'm only answering because I wanted to make a suggestion which works for me.

    Write out exactly what you think and leave nothing out. Pour your heart and soul into it.

    Now, go back and read it over and decide what of it you can use to best promote your argument to the other person. That is only if you care to bother debating the issue with them. Writing it out will help you to organize and collect your thoughts, and it may even help release some of the anger.

I talk about it to my significant other and/or friend and sometimes get their advice or their perspective in the matter.  I like to talk to someone close who will support me but be honest with me as well.  If I've been disrespected then I don't let it go.  Like SAND and qsmiles mentioned, I handle it right there and then.

  4. I too get very quiet.  As long as I'm talking about it, my friends know it's not too bad.  It's when I get quiet that they know to watch out.

    Depends on the situation though.  I am very even-keeled and it takes a lot to make me angry or get a rise out of me (my moon is also in Taurus).  When I get mad... if it's something disrespectful, I will call them on it.  People can usually tell when I'm really made because it will show on my face and there's h**l to pay.

  6. Well I'm a Virgo/Libra cusp...

    But I do the same thing where I think about it constantly.

    And I can sometimes hold a grudge - at least for a little while.

    I will also sometimes try to exact my revenge in suttle ways - nothing to harm any one...but, like, maybe.."misplace" something of theirs, or break something.

    Or I can just get really quiet and sit alone for long times.

    I also do this thing where I kinda grit my teeth

    or I sing to myself.

    Plus, sometimes...when I get angry - I also get sad at the same time.

  7. I'm a Virgo with Taurus Moon too.  I have Mars in Scorpio and Aquarius rising.  I probably need anger-management.  I get angry quite often.

    Usually I don't react right away.  I think, think, think about it for a few days then let whoever pissed me off have it.  Many times I'll never speak to them again because I have a hard time forgiving offences,

    If it's something beyond my control that is just due to circumstance, I have a harder time dealing with it.

    Here's what I typically do (not recommended):

    -think about the situation for a long time by myself

    -get really drunk

    -take it out on others

    -seek revenge

    -listen to "angry music"

    -swear at people

    -watch violent movies

    -break something

    -go to sleep (I just want to be alone and comfortable in bed to relax.  I can't deal with the emotional over-load.)

    Better ways to cope:

    -go for a run

    -call friends for advice

    -practice deep breathing techniques/meditate

    -listen to calming music

    -write all your angry thoughts in a blog or journal

    -get counselling

    There are books on dealing with long-term anger.  Check out amazon.com.  I've never bought one but I've thought about it.

  8. I channel my anger to work/study. I try to turn it into a creative process. Or, I go to sleep. Afterwards I usually feel fresher and can think objectively about the actual cause of my anger, and how to deal with it.

  9. It totally depends on what I'm angry about.  There's different levels of anger, at least for me.  If I'm mad about what someone said, I make an effort to feel the "mad" and then release it.  

    But if someone disrespects/wrongs me or someone that I'm loyal to, I will confront them head on.  We talk about it until a compromise or understanding has been reached.  I don't just let things go and allow them to build.  I kill it immediately.

    My anger used to be real bad, but I realized that, and now I've trained myself to express it in a more constructive way.

What I do when I'm angry is, I find a place where  I can be alone and think about what's causing me to be angry and if that doesn't work, I read a good book or watch a movie, I recommend a comedy movie because laughing always makes me feel a little bit better and voilent movies just make want to break stuff.     I am a Virgo myself. I understand that when you are not doing anything the anger just rises. It is almost like it's festering in your mind. Which isn't good for you or the situation. I tend to listen to music the way I'm feeling really loud to get it all out. Running or walking helps too. Writing things down help me as well. However, when I am done writing. I burn it. So I can say mean hateful things on paper and I'm the only one who read it, so no one gets hurt . I also like to talk with my close friends. But sometimes that just doesn't work, unless they are Virgos too! :)
