Virtual Villagers 2!FOOD SOURCE!?

i am having lots of trouble discovering a food source! i have level 2 of Farming & engineering.the ocean is covered with algae & the coconuts are finished!Now what?i don't have enough tech to buy farming level 3!pls this is urgent!or my villagers will die!thank you in advance!

same thing is happening to me also. i have 13 people in a tribe, my crops are growing too slow; there is no more food; i can't find a lot of mushrooms, and the coconuts and algae are covering ocean. my tech points is about 20000, that's good but that's not enough because i need farming level 3. my villagers are getting weaker, i think they won't make it. =(, let's hope a event happens.

dont write comment if you never played the game build a dam and try surviving on mushrooms

Survive on mushrooms. Have all your villagers  build on the narrow part of the stream. It will build a dam for crops. After that use mushrooms and crops and have all your villagers research. Planting crops and watering will not make them grow faster
