  1. DONT DO ONLINE SCHOOL do a correspondence course. i did online for a whole year and its the worst thing ever. do a correspondence. im doing uinversity of oklahoma...its pretty cool cause like they sent me all the stuff like workbooks and stuff that i just need to finish and mail in. also my eyes got really bad cause i was constantly looking at the computer screen. univer. oklahoma sent me all the books and stuff and i got like a chemistry kit too so im not really missing out on all the hands on stuff. seriously its the same thing as online except its not a huge pain in your ***

  2. How long it takes depends on how old you are as well as your grade level and what program the school uses.  Some virtual schools use textbooks and the time online is only a review to prove you did your work in the books you were given.  I suppose you could say these schools are more like correspondance schools with a computer link.  Some virtual schools also provide field trips and extra labs or activites so that you can join together with other home schoolers.  Simply put, the "virtual school" isn't easy to define by that term alone.  Perhaps if you could give a link to the virtual school you were considering attending, we could help you a bit more.  It is, however, my own personal opinion that the more computer work was involved, the longer the work took.  Then again, we live way out in the country and can only get dial-up.  ;)  Please tell us your grade level and the school in question, if you have one, or the state and county in which you live.  Also, some virtual schools are through the public schools and are, therefore, free or require only a minmal entry fee but some are privately owned and cost more.  What suits your situation best?  Also, do you have a computer set up where your feet are flat on the floor and your wrists are curled upward while you type or is your computer area a better fit for the adults in your home? This will factor in on how much time your body can physically handle being at a computer.

  3. In my "virtual school", they send supplies. It is 5hrs a day(it takes me less to do my work) and it depends on which homeschool you are in. I am in K12 and its the same as regular school except you dont have to deal with the stuff you do in public school, like people, or rude teachers.

if your parents would like to check it out its www.k12.com. they have a number you can call. there is a price which for 8th grade is $90.00 a month.

    hope i helped.

    good luck

  4. I've heard it only take's a couple hours a day to do, and many kids prefer it to regular schooling. You can do it at your own pace, everyday, or only a couple days a week. Depending on how much you can complete in a day.  I've heard it is a bit easier since it is totally academically focused, and you don't have to worry about anything else, and you can choose your own classes for your own level.
