  1. no

  2. Are you kidding? You are ready to declare the game over before the first innings (out of four) is finished? Foolhardy at best! Perhaps you should wait until India wins this one, if they can. Then and only then the teams will be *equal*.

  3. "Viru hits a ton"- right, applause for the man who was being called fluke by "few" people in this section. I hope they got the answer.

"Is India the best team now"- umm..BETTER team

"Why India wins when Viru hits a ton, NOT Sachin"

-I see, you must have put a lot of effort in making up such a "creative" question & I don't know what answers are you "expecting". But my answer is, THERE'S NO SUCH THING IN CRICKET. IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF SITUATION & THE TEAM CONTRIBUTION & THE CIRCUMSTANCES, THE RESULT HAPPENS ACCORDINGLY AS HOW THE WHOLE MATCH BEING PLAYED BY A TEAM!!

  4. Machaan, 1,000 excuses can say something however, Virender Sehwag won't last long until 150 runs i hope. Other than that, once Laxman & Viru with some tail-enders are out...India can consider a loss to S.L but, the rain will also be a factor for S.L. Machaa, excellent question the oppostion Lakan bowlers should bowl very tight & don't leave any room for the Indian batsman to score runs.

EDIT: i'M WRONG & CONGRATS TO VIRENDER SEWHAG 200RUNS.

  5. Hey Lankan....u are a kid right...must be....judging by your question !!

When Sachin hits a ton, the opposition start running in opposite direction even when the opposition is in its den (lmao...ask Australia in Perth...lmao)

I will use thisopportunity to describe mah GOD :~~~~~

Sachin Tendulkar is the most prolific run scorer in one-day internationals with 16,361 runs and the second highest run scorer in Test matches with 11,821 runs after Brian Lara. He also holds the record of highest number of centuries in both Test (39) and ODI cricket (42). Throughout his career, he has made a strong impact on Indian cricket and was, at one time, the foundation of most of the team's victories. In recognition with his impact on sport in a cricket-loving country like India, Tendulkar has been granted the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Arjuna Award, Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India. He was also elected Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1997 and is ranked by the objective scoring method of the Wisden 100 as the second best test batsman and best ODI batsman of all time.

Tendulkar has also consistently done well in Cricket World Cups (excluding the 2007 Cricket World Cup in which India were knocked out after only 3 matches). Tendulkar was the highest run scorer of the 2003 Cricket World Cup and 1996 Cricket World Cup. Tendulkar has scored over 1000 runs in a calendar year in ODIs 7 times, and in one of these years he scored 1894 runs, easily the record for the highest number of runs scored by any player in a single calendar year for one day internationals. Tendulkar is also one of the very few players who are still playing in international cricket from the 1980s.

He has been Man of the Match 11 times in Test matches and Man of the Series 4 times, out of them twice in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The performances earned him respect from Australian cricket fans and players.

    Individual Honours

Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian award, 2008.

ICC World ODI XI: 2004, 2007

Player of the tournament in 2003 Cricket World Cup

Wisden Cricketer of the Year: 1997

Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, 1999.

Arjuna Award, by the Government of India in recognition of his outstanding achievement in Cricket, 1994.

  6. India best team? u kiddin me?

I think it's da time to big 4 to retire.

Viru did a good job but who knows 'kal ho naa hoo'!

    India getting bad to worse!

  7. Maybe it was in the past nowadays if Viru hits a ton or Sachin, team india has mastered the art of losing even in the best circumstances. After a solid start by Sehwag and Ghambhir, there was no pressure for Sachin, Dravid, or Ganguli but they managed to give away their wickets in a great hurry.

  8. Just because Viru hits a century, INdia do not become a best team or can win a match.  There should be substantial contrib utions from other players as well.

Unfortunately, the senior players like Dravid, Sachin and Ganguly did nopt show the same grit and determination shown by the openers and thus India lost a golden opportunity to put Sri Lanka under pressure in the

    2nd test.

  9. lets see .. is ur observation is rite or wrong.. im sure this match will be a draw

  10. Viru is a great batsman which we do not recognise. His problem is that he hits many 'tennis' shots and gets out fast. If he can keep the ball low like what he did yesterday, no one can really stop him. I am happy to see that he has attacked Mendis. This is cricket. A great bowler comes along and if all batsmen succumb, there is no real fun. A great batsman understands the bowler and comes out on top. This is exhilarating cricket. The dual and rivalry between the ball and the bat is cricket. Viru showed his greatness again. The only triple-centurion of India (not once but twice) came out a winner in the battle between ball and bat.

The second part of your question is to belittle the little champion. Many times, the difference between a win and a loss is just one run. The result is the outcome of the effort of 22 players, 2 umpires and the weather. One player can not contribute to win or loss.
