  1. You might want to run Housecall from Trendmicro. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

It is pretty good and it is free.

You could also try looking the virus up on the Castlecops site

    http://www.castlecops.com/

They have some very good resources and an excellent forum.

Another helpful site is Bleeping Computer

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/

  2. Just go to www.trendmicro.com and run online scan. you'll get rid of it.

  3. Go to www.threatfire.com  download,install and run a full scan,it's totally free

  4. norton's never let me down, so you might just have to reformat the HDD. sorry.

you could try other AV software, but that would get very pricey very fast.

  5. Same thing happened to my computer.  We have Norton 360 and it did not detect the trojans.  Get SpyWare Doctor, there are free versions available that you can download but they don't work as well as the other ones you pay for.  We paid $30 and it detected all the trojans and got rid of them.  We also downloaded a registry cleaner (pc tools software) just in case.

  6. try downloading avast antivirus home edition for the internet and try running that doesnt work do bitdefender.com and do online scan there. email me at jstreet1996@gmail.com so i can help u further

  7. I have ran into that problem once. I used windows defender and that took care of the trojan for me. If you have vista then you already have windows defender, but if you have xp then you can download it for free at windows.com or you can reformat your computer.

  8. Download Malwarebyte (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php ) Do a full/quick scan.

  9. Uninstall Norton Anti-Virus then download AVG Anti-Virus can Remove that Trojan go this website then Download it please press here http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-F...

  10. You could try starting windows in safe mode (press F8 when windows is starting) - some viruses interfere or disable AV software once they get on your system.  Or try AVG - there is a free version available from http://www.grisoft.com/ .

If none of that works and you know the .exe that is running, try googling it - you wil probably find some instructions on how to manually remove it.  Despite what other people might say, reinstalling your entire OS is usually a last resort option.

  11. start the whole thing over again. so uninstall windows then install agian you WILL LOSE all your music, videos, etc. but will work. i do it if i gat a problem like that. add Spybot as well next time.

  12. You should first try system restore. You can set the computer to the point when you didn't have the problem as you enter safe mode. You can enter safe mode by pressing F8 as the computer is starting or restarting.

If you got trojan and it keeps coming  back, you can remove it with several combinations of antivirus and anti-spyware softwares. For antivirus, I use Ahn Lab V3. I also have adaware 2008 and superantispyware free edition. You can download free versions of these and try running it in safe mode. You can get into safe mode by pressing F8 button as the computer restarts. Don't do system restore. (Turning off the system restore is also a good idea) Fully scan these softwares. Do the superantispyware last because it will try to restart your computer after the scan. After scanning, the program will show you where the virus is. You can personally remove it by going to the address shown. (usually starts with C:/ ...) Learn to remove stuff in the registry also.

  13. 1. In Norton, there should be a feature called LiveUpdate. Run that and make sure your virus definitions are current.

    2. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode. To do this: immediately when you see the manufacturer's splash screen (usually the first thing you see when the computer boots), press F8 repeatedly until you see a black screen with white text. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to "Boot In Safe Mode" and press enter.

    3. When the computer boots, the display will look very degraded. This is because Windows is using the bare minimum to run everything; no cause for worry.

    4. Open Norton and run a full system scan. Depending on the size of your drive, this can take at least an hour.

    5. Once the scan is finished, it will show you what it found and what it did with it. Booting into Safe Mode often kills services that infections usually depend on, making them easier to detect and remove.

    6. Reboot the computer. It will look normal again.

    Hope that helps!

  14. AD THAT HAPPEN TO MY COMP. Sadly

enough i ended up reloading xp on mine, i paid $100.00 to iyogi.com to try to remove it,but to no evale.those people wouldn't listen to anything you tried to tell them, they knew it all,but couldn't repair my sys.. then i had aregistry problem, after 4 tries they said not to worry about it ,it wouldn't hurt my sys.anyway , main thing is unless someone has come up w/a new protection program, don't know what to tell you, maybe goodluck.....
