  1. First of all, you should only have ONE antivirus program. Second, I hate to break it to you, but you do have a virus...

The easiest way to fix it is using Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware (Turn off system restore, Download it, update it, do a full scan, and remove everything it finds).

I would also recommend the following programs to make sure that you don't get infected again in the future:

    Spybot - Search & Destroy

Avira AntiVir Personal (Has much better detection rates than AVG)

    Spyware Doctor Starter Edition

  2. Firstly, antivirus programs will NOT pick these up as they are malicious codecs.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Removes Antivirus 2008/2009/XPAntivirus and many more:

    http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Ant...

Download, install, update and select Full Scan.

Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

    Spybot S&D:

    http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl...

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'

    Wallpaper Hijacker Removal Tool:

Note: You should hit all "Repair" buttons even though it may not say "Found!" This will fix a wallpaper hijack everytime if all repair buttons are pressed.

    VundoFix:

    http://www.symantec.com/content/en/us/gl...

Disconnect your computer from the internet

    Run vundo

    Restart your computer

Run the tool again to ensure no traces are left.

If there are the reboot into Safe Mode and run FixVundo again.

    SmitFraud Removal

This tool will remove Desktop hijacking malware. Firstly, download the removal tool from here:

  3. hi juan, the only and best way to get rid of a virus is do it right and format you harddrive but i always read the other comments when i need a laugh cause it will not get rid of a virus. now i would tell you how to do it but there is so much to do that anuyone i tell not unless your advanced in pc repairs because you have to delete your petition and put all new drivers and this is tricky so my advice would be to shut your computer down take all of your software to a computer repairman and tell him that you have a virus and let him do the hard part while you reap the benefits. even i take my computer to a repairman when i want to do something but i have friends that are repairmen and they can fix your computer and it will run like a brand new one. good luckhope i was helpful to you

  4. FIRST AND FOREMOST  15:42 is military time for 3:42pm!!!  (Also known as a 24 hour clock)

SECOND, what is telling you virus alert? A little red shield that says anti-virus not enabled? Sorry I have never gotten this message except when I turn ZoneAlarm off.  I have been using ZoneAlarm for about 3 or 4 years now and it works like a charm in most cases.  It will protect your computer with a firewall and some versions even have anti-virus software built in.

You can do a free virus scan at trendmicro.com (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/)

  5. You have a smitfraud infection or rogue anti-virus software has installed it self.

Malwarebytes is one of the best programs for removing rogue software download, update and run a scan - http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

The other two programs to try are:

    SuperAntispyware: http://www.download.com/SUPERAntiSpyware...

    SmitFraudfix: http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.p...
