Virus help!!?

Okay so i was looking to download Keygen when i eventually stumbled across some site that made my computer crash and alot of viruses and things suddenly started getting detected. What i did was do a system restore back 1 day to have all things i did erased. What i am not sure of is if there is still any underlying viruses that can still occur after a system restore. Do a simple Virus scan and get rid of them, you should be good but you want to be safe to.

hi jordeni, a nasty ol virus seems like your virus protection would have protected your system from that nasty ol thing. the only thing you can do about a nasty ol virus is to format your harddrive. and it has to be done right or you can destroy your computer to where it cannot be fixed so i recommend that you take your computer and your software to a computer repairman and he will do it for you. the best part is that he will not charge you that much to make your computer run safer and with a lot more performance than it was when you got it new. i have friends that are computer repairmen and we discuss some of the problems to figure it out and let me tell you it is too hard to write it in yahoo answer. so i highly recommend that you take it to one of them and do not save any of your files cause they might be infected too. and update your virus protection for your own safty. good luck hope i was helpful to you

hi there..i did that to my computer too! i brought it a computer repair place paid them 100 bucks to do nothing..they just told me it would cost 200 dollars to format my computer or free if i did it myself.

so i brought it home and my b/f formatted my computer and everythign was lost but not biggie.

My computer still crashed once in a while..so you should probably burn important stuff somewhere then format your computer if this continue

Look at the page where you downloaded the torrent...

Notice all of the comments that warn about a virus? Did you miss that?

A system restore does a complete system configuration rollback. The virus's payload (the program/s that cause all the damage) is still there, but your computer isn't configured to automatically run it.

Run a good AV tool to get rid of the stagnant malware files.

I'd be more cautious when downloading illegitimate stuff like cracks and keygens... If you don't watch your step, you'll quickly end up in a world of suck.

doing a system restore back one day will not solve it you need to run a antivirus program to get rid of it  whenever you download things in the future check it for virus before you install it

Restoring your computer wont delete any viruses, I recommend you to reboot your computer or remove the virus with an anti virus program such as AVG. If u reboot, backup all ur data on discs.....

Please don't virus scan. PLEASE DON'T ANYMORE! You may have worms and they multiply when you delete them. Back up all your things and get them back on a usb or disk or something because you'll need system restore because your comp cud be fuked cuz it sticks onto the sys 32 which cant be reversed. Start yuor comp and press f10 so it sys restore, make it go abck to when u made ur comp up. it will fix everything!
