  1. I use McAfee with site advisor. But there's no such thing as "best". Some people like Norton. Other's like Trend micro.

The 'free' ones are ok, but they don't offer as much protection as the store bought programs.

  2. i say KASPERSKY!!! but it really hard to configure and what, but once u do it will protect u from the worst

was rated 2nd best Anti-Virus, or at least on some list i saw,

1st was bitdefender i believe, never tryed it

  3. Avast anti-virus better definitions, anti-spyware and anti-rootkit built in, faster and more reliable:

    Setup Guide:

Threatfire which runs alongside your antivirus enhancing your protection:

    http://www.threatfire.com/Download/

Scroll down and click on Get Free

Free AV programs use the same definition files as the paid for versions, the vendors hope that users will upgrade to the fully paid for version, so this quote 'The 'free' ones are ok, but they don't offer as much protection as the store bought programs' is hot air.  If the free versions were of poor quality then the vendors would not be in a position to offer a full paid for version.

  4. go to avast.com, download the home edition is free work great,  all u have 2 do is register it will protect yr pc for 18 months
