hey

II have several viruses on my computer. I know the reason: I downloaded games with limewire and when I clicked on them something totally different would pop up and after that these things are happening to my computer:

- when I want to start a internet page its says something about rundll 32 wich it first never did..

- some programs don't open anymore this is the worst. I have a game called zoo tycoon 2 I have played this game like forever and now when I want to play it I get an error that says protection stub doesn't work anymore. and some other normal programs just won't open I REALLY hate this!

I do know that I had(have?) a trojan virus but now when I use windows defender it says that the computer is working normally wich makes it even more difficult to track the thing that is causing all these problems. I have windows vista

please help me I'm desperate!

(my father is gonna freak when he finds out it is my fault!)

  1. Go with Jimmi Dean's answer, it's the same advice that I would have given and these programs DO work.

Also open Task Manager click on rundll and end process.

And keep away from AVG....V8 poor detection rates, functions diabled unless you upgrade to paid  version, there are far better AV programs for free

  2. see if you can download mozilla firefox browser....

    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

    then download Malwarebytes

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/

    scan with malware bytes...

    download Superantispyware and scan

    http://www.superantispyware.com/download...

    then download avira antivir...

    http://www.free-av.de/en/index.html

    ONLY USE ONE ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM

all these programs are powerful and free...

if there's still problems let me know I'll give you some more steps to follow

  3. Hi,

the first thing to do is dump "Windows defender" it's rubbish then install "AVG 8" and use it for your anti-virus, just run a fill scan and see what it finds. hope this helps you.
