Visa's between the UK and USA?

Why do I need a visa to visit the US, while a US citizen doesn't need one to visit the UK. Is it a very one sided special relationship?

  1. you do not need a visa unless you intend to stay in the US more than the 90 days allowed and if your passport in the old version ,

    you need the new electronic passport to go without a visa.


  2. As a Uk citizen you can visit the US under the Visa waiver programme.The period allowed is 90 days enjoy.

  3. If you've got a modern passport you don' t need a visa, and anyway, it's just because they've got tighter immigration laws.

  4. This is new to me ,As I understood  British Citizens don't need a visa to visit the US
