  1. It is my personal opinion that you should sell, but it's your money.  I think it is going to tank along with most of the stock market.

  2. It should do well in the long run.  Visa is a much stronger brand than MasterCard, and just look at what MA has done since it's IPO!

  3. Well, to answer that question I have to asked why you purchased it in the first place.  If you had a trade plan, it would define your entries and exits.  Without knowing what your risk level is and your investment goals, I can only give "Advice" based on my observations.

    1.  MA - as a previous poster stated, look at how good this stock has done.  Remember, MA and V are making money on processing fees not on credit card debt.  Visa is much more prevalent that MA.  So it certainly has "potential" to do as well as MA>

    2.  Visa shot up from IPO, consolidated, dropped and it now rising on the recent MA news.  It's now either setting up a double top chart pattern or ready to push for new highs.  No real way to tell, but to trade the charts (again, your trade plan is probably different from mine).

    3.  I am biased :) - I bought V in my education plans for my 4 children.  I figure in 10 years it should be sitting pretty.

  4. Well, technically, it looks like it is going to rise. Fundamentally, I think that PE ratio is way too high.

I could see why you would be concerned, still, I thought Google was too expensive when it shot past 100 (about 585 recently). Visa is one of the biggest credit card facilitators around (ala Google on a card). Any down turn now might be a knee-jerk reaction to some banks crying over losses because they promoted far too many cards (usually VISA) with their logo on it and too many are starting to not pay their bills (ala mortgage crisis), but that is not what VISA makes their money on. A recession is the real issue. No recession, then it should shoot to the moon. That is the real issue.

  5. Maybe it will rise or not

You never can tell with stock but I wish you the best of luck!
