My partner and I met on the internet several years ago and live in separate countries. My partner is wishing to move to Australia and we are currently filling out Visa forms - However it asks when we started relationship - Do you think we could put a date before we physically met - as we considered ourselves in a relationship before we actually met in person.

  1. You have no relationship!

    You have no partner!

  2. You could answer the date that you actually started the relationship even meeting in person came in later. That's the truth in your relationship and I'm sure the Australian Embassy is aware that there are relationships nowadays that started on the internet.Whether your relationship is bonafide or not, other proofs/documents will speak for both of you. Good luck.

  3. You are day dreaming on someone you never met!

  4. ok .. im his partner and we have met many times and have spent several months at a time in each others countries we also have a child together. I am not someone he has never met and no i am not 'using' him either.. if you cant help then dont answer you narrow minded gimps :)

  5. Are you sure this person isn't just using you? Your relationship started on the day that you met, the Immigration Authorities are unlikely to believe that anything started before then.
