Visa for Brazil doubt

I have a valid visa for Brazil.

It was granted on 2005, I entered Brazil in that year and haven't go back again.

I plan to go to Brazil in December....

Is there a problem for being away for so long? Is the visa still valid?

  1. There are several types of visas, so it depends. If you had a tourist visa, it has most certainly expired. Contact your nearest Brazilian consulate for more information.

  2. There should be an expiration date on the visa someplace...read very carefully.

  3. You will be fine, I received my visa in July of 2004, went to Brazil the last two weeks of  July in 2004. Went back again in March of 2006, and again in February of this year. I never once encountered any problems other than waiting in line at the airport. No wait that was here in the U.S.

  4. Hi!

I guess you can come to Brazil without problems if your visa is not expired. Take a look in the type of your visa in internet, everything depends of that.

  5. I depends on the visa.  There are dozens of kind of visa for Brazil.  The most common is the tourist visa.  These can be for single entry or multiple entry.  They can also be for various lengths including 5 or 10 years.  If your visa is a multiple entry and in it's validity there is no problem and you  can come even if it has been years since your last visit.
