I'm a foreign student from Rome , Italy...I'm a senior in high school(in rome) right now and i'll be graduating in june 2008..

My dream is to go to college in the USA (chicago) next year..but the only problem is .i dont have enough money to pay for college right now and my parents cant pay for me either...

i've been asking some of my american friends and relatives if the could co-sign for me but i havent had any luck.:(

I want to go study in the USa so bad! but it just seems so hard!:(

So what i was thinking is... i could go to the USA and get a job there(like teaching italian-babysitting. waitressing..) ..and then when i make enough money, i can start college and pay for it myself..

Do you think i would be able to do that???

Would the US. embassy in rome give me a visa for that???

and how long would it take???

if not, can u think of any other way for me to make it to college in the USA??

Please help me! i'm desperate!

thanx

  1. Can't you ask for a loan from Italy or an American Bank?

Why don't you study for couple of years in Italy and go to USA for graduate school. Then you might have more chance to get a scholarship for your studies.

  2. You could always marry an American.
