Visa issues compel Andrew McDonald to quit Leicestershire County - Cricket News Update
The Australia-born all-rounder, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-McDonald-c1042, will not be able to represent the English County Leicestershire, following visa related issues.
Reportedly, the 30-year-old McDonald’s visa status to play County cricket as an overseas player has expired.
Leicestershire’s chief executive, Mike Siddall has also confirmed the news that McDonald is not eligible to serve them in the next season.
Siddall also admired McDonald’s stint with Leicestershire, giving credit to him for helping the side earn victory in the recently concluded Friends Life Twenty20 Championship.

McDonald was right on the money with his performance during the Friends Life Twenty20, playing 18 matches, scoring 584 runs, and picking 14 wickets, which eventually helped Leicestershire to win the title.
Meanwhile, the useful all-rounder, McDonald, played reasonably well during the recently finished County Championship Division Two, participating in 5 matches, collecting 312 runs, taking 8 wickets.
He also served Leicestershire in 4 matches of the Clydesdale Bank 40 event, playing just one inning, earning 35 runs.
The right-handed batsman, McDonald’s departure, pushed Leicestershire to seek a quality player to include in the squad for next year’s season.
