Visa processing Times for K1 visa - Montreal Consulate?

I would like to know if anyone has a solid idea of the processing time for a K1 visa. I received an approval notice for my petition on 7/24/08 from USCIS. The case now goes to NVC, then to Montreal consulate for application and interview and eventually the receiving of the the visa. We have a very vanilla case (no criminal records, legitimate marriage, decent incomes, etc) I want to know if anyone has gone through the process with the Montreal consulate or other Canadian consulates or embassy and what amount of time elapsed between approval of petition and actually receiving the k1 visa. I have heard that it can take several weeks (6?) to schedule the appointment/interview but that K1s are processed rather quickly. Is this true?

We have just went through the first part of the

process for the United States and Yes it does

take about six weeks for the interview appointment.  And they tell us we should receive the visa in 3-10 working days.
