Visa to Italy?

I am a South African that would like to go work in Italy as an Au pair, could someone please give me some directions or tips on how to go about doing it....

Apply for a gainful employment in Italy and when accepted, request the company to send you the contract and use it to apply for a working visa.

You may need to re-assess your strategy:  The Italian Government changed its immigration law in June 2004 such that Italian families are currently allowed to hire only nationals from EU countries to serve as their aupair or nanny.
