Visa validity?

i have a ten years visitors visa to the US. i am told if i don't used it with in six months it will expire . is it true?

No, you can use it at any point over the ten year validity, or not at all and it will remain valid for use. Not all tourist visas are valid for 10 years, some are valid for only 3 months . Immigrant visas expire after 6 months.

That is why it is valid for ten years. If you don't use it, then it will not expire. However, when you land in the US, you can only stay for 6 months, not 10 years.
