I will be going on this cruise in a few months with Royal Caribbean. Stops are Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. Any reccommendations or where to go, check out, eat, to do, or excursions that are the best?????

Ive been on one of the biggest ships before but how is this ship and what are the neat things about it or what should I expect?

  1. I have been on the Vision twice, Last November when we were in Mazatlan we went to Stone Island and just hung out . In Cabo I just walked around town and looked at things, I also found a place that I got a foot Massage for $20.00 for 1/2 hour.

We went on op the pirate ship in Puerto Vallarta, yes it is silly but if was fun.

  2. The Vision is one of Royal Caribbean's older ships, launched in 1998 and refurbished in 2006.  It hold just under 2000 passengers.  It does not have a lot of the on board amenities that RC's newer ships have line ice skating and a full sized basketball court.  But it does have a  gym and a rock climbing wall and plenty of pools and hit tubs, both inside and outside.  You should go to this link and look at the ship's features, both the deck plans and the virtual tour.:

I did the Mexican Rivera cruise on a different ship and line a few years ago.  The best of the stops for me was Cabo.  Its really pretty there and we did a short tour of the city and then walked around the market and shops.  But Cabo his a nice place to do jet ski and/or parasailing as well.

On our stop in Puerto Vallarta we did a tour to a tequila factory where we had plenty of free samples, and then stopped at a couple other places in town.  I did not care for Vallarta at all.  The beaches were not inviting and it just appeared over rated to me.

Our cruise went to Acapulco instead of Mazatlan and so I can only tell you about that stop.  The main thing I liked about Acapulco was the cliff diving.  Otherwise the place was way too crowded.

So for my money Cabo will be your best stop.

  3. I loved the get a way at the John Huston's old estate.  The tour of the Mazatlan city the the bird estuary was good.  Cabobs tous lack a little something.
