Vision question?!?????

Question

I have a friend who is legally blind from one eye. When he was younger he was supposed to wear an eye patch to get his sight back in that eye, he never wore it. He tells me he can still see some colors and shapes. So my question is, can he get his sight back in that eye through like surgery or something? or is there nothing that cant be done?

Once you are older, it is almost impossible to wake the brain up and make it see out of the eye. You have to get it's attention early.

probably not, the patch was not to restore but to help with balance in the good eye. I am interested in the condition of your friend.
