  1. I know that in the visitation papers for my husband and his ex, it says the custodial parent would supply the visitation parent with all necessary medical objects.  this would include medications and breathing machines.

if yall dont have papers, you need to get some drawn up.   I would talk to him about it about him having his own for her, especially since he sees her every weekend.  but you should have it ready to give along with her because your thought should be on her safety and not on if he has one or not.  keep track of him not getting one (if he doesn't) so it can be brought back to court..if need be.  But just talk to him about it

  2. You mean her inhaler?  If she uses a regular asthma inhaler, get a spare for her Dad to have available at his home at all times. (And be sure he knows how to use it and when she needs to use it.)  But also send her own along with her.  She needs to learn to be responsible for her asthma, as much as is appropriate for her age.

If you are talking about a nebulizer or something more complex/costly, that is something to discuss with her father and her doctor (and possibly the insurance company).

  3. There is no requirement for him to get his own. I would probbally get my own not to lug that thing around but why not give him yours until he makes that choice so your child is safe

  4. send your daughter with her medication

  5. My son has a breathing machine as well and it does not transport. He is only suppose to use it as needed and his father and grandmother beleive that he needs it all the time. Because they don't want to follow doctor orders, I don't send it with my son. I don't send anything with him however. I make his father provide him with his necessities because I would never get anything back. Therefore would have to go and buy him clothes all over again.

Is her machine needed on an every day basis or can she just get by with her inhaler? Thats what the question should be.
