We are visiting Cancun for a week and are worried about Hurrican Dean hitting cancun during that time. Is it advisable to still go with the current weather conditions?

  1. I'll be there 22-30 we will be ok. May I suggest Getting a rental car for the week its cheaper than paying for cab service.

  2. I heard that ANOTHER Hurricane is brewing in the Atlantic, near Africa.  So keep an eye on that one.  I'm supposed to visit Cancun from 9-1 thru' 9-8 to celebrate my bdy, but now I am re-considering that trip.  THANK GOD, I have not purchased the package yet.

  3. From the map I saw, Dean should be past Cancun by 8AM Tuesday the 21st.  That doesn't mean that there may be plenty of rain still following in its wake.

If there is any way to switch to a Pacific coast resort, you might be luckier.

  4. I don't think you'll enjoy the place even after after Mr. Dean's visit! if you can get some $$ back, get it back!

  5. I would purchase an insurance for the trip  so it would provide my money back if I decide to go home

  6. sorry, but yeah it will probably be raining quite a bit, and everything will be looking disgusting, see if you can get your tickets back, or get points so that you can go another time.

  7. You'll probably see the remnants of Dean. It's project to hit that area Tues. or Wed., 3-4 days before you get there...

  8. yeah.. you guys picked the worst time to go.. aug-oct is hurricane season in mexico.. If you're wondering why you got your rooms so cheap.. thats why. Spring is the best time to go. sorry. :/
