btw u must eat a pozole while ur in guadalajara yummy :P

  2. I go to GDL all the time. It is a great city. A wondeful hotel to stay in is the San Francisco. It cost about $40 per night and is wonderful.  At the airport you can take a taxi for about 8 pesos to the hotel, a wonderful driver is Chato, he speaks English and everyone knows him. You dont need a guide, tons of people speak English. If you let me know what kind of activities you like and I can make suggestions. One word of caution about the food, everything is cooked in grease so if you are not used to it go lightly. Drink bottled water.

  3. You didn't mention how long you'll be in the area. The main market is worth a visit and getting a bite to eat. As another person mentioned the Hotel San Francisco is a good place to stay, we enjoyed it and its centrally located to the downtown. We and the grandkids enjoyed the park downtown, esp. at night when they have many things going on.  A 4 year old considers chasing pigeons great entertainment.

We stayed 3 days and that was long enough.
