Visiting Ireland?

i was visiting ireland there one weekend and there was one thing that struck!! (i am not racist but is ireland invaded by the Polish??? i would like to reinforce i am not racist!!

ok not raciest but they have taken our jobs and everything now they are getting attitudes

the government will have a shock when the economy suffers when they all go home

They have recenytly become members of the EU but it is widely thought that they are very good workers and maybe the draw of the olympics in london may take a lot of the construction workers to London rather than Ireland.

yup sure is....they come over in busloads every day - they have their own shops and pubs in Waterford now

Hey ho - when Ireland was broke we went to Germany, France, Spain, Britain, Switzerland - not to Poland because Poland was still part of the Soviet Union - and to the US, Canada and Australia in our droves.

Now it's a different direction, and to be honest it's no bad thing. The Polish are generally very good workers.

Yes and an important part of our economic growth was attributed to them , last census 10 % of my town was of a non national orgin

Yes you are right. Its like going on holidays abroad when you go into the city centre.  I heard a non Irish  national ask a question in a vodafone shop in town,  the shop assistant was an African gentleman.  He was asking the assistant to phone a help line for him as his English was not up to it.  The reps reply was 'neither is mine'. That's what is come to now in Ireland.

yes we are and im not racist either i was in Dublin only today i went into 4 shops for to get directions and couldn't find one person that spoke decent English no offense meant to anyone

yes, i was there one month ago, i go each year and i noticed the same as you but also the amount of beggars had trebled.

Try visiting, Bradford, Halifax, Brighton, Crewe, Nottingham, Croydon.....Polish people are doing a lot of travelling. They have to earn money like anyone else. Good Luck to them

lol i an understand why you would ask ... i live in Ireland and yes we are a little bit! lol ... but they are really kwl people!! and there are still more of us Irish around they were just prob hiding in pubs!! Lol what county did you visit?

i never really notice them, they dont bother me so i just think of them just as i would an irish person beside them.
