Question:

Visiting New York in December?

Me and my friend are going to New York around Christmas this year. I would like to know if there are any websites or information regarding shopping, weather, events, and places to shop for the clothing we need to wear. We're from Texas so we don't know how cold it is going to be! Any answers are welcome. By the way, we're staying in midtown or Park Avenue. Which ever is better.

  1. Dec temperatures are in the 40s , not much snow last yr so I doubt we'll have any this yr also.  Its getting warmer every year.

if you're into tours and attractions try http://www.citysightsny.com/

  2. The only information I can offer you is to wear layers of clothing. 'With the wind chill factor it can be very cold; but, you do not want to wear one big bulky coat. When you go inside the places it will be warm and you can easily take off a jacket and sweater. You need an outside jacket that is a windbreaker, cotton against your skin and then a polyester to hold the heat in. You will need a hat (jacket with hat) and a scarf and comfortable gloves. The wind can freeze you to the bone!

As for things to do; be sure to go to times square!! This is the theater district and I adore it! Try So Ho  and enjoy all the vendors who set up.

Be sure and check out Macy's (such a historic building) and check out all the floors while you are there. They have the best clothing and at a very reasonable price.

I'll let everyone else tell you their opinions; but, I really like going at Christmas time :) Enjoy! "I Love New York !!!!"
