Visiting Prague in a month or so for a couple of days with a friend!?

Question

Anybody know of a nice hotel thats conveinent to good sightseeing spots and reasonable in price! Also is there much of a nightlife scene in the city - and where are good places to go? Is there good shopping in the city, is it expensive? and finally food and alchol......how much would you pay for a good meal and a few drinks??

Try www.hostelworld.com for good value accommodation. The city centre is far more compact than you might think, and shopping's pretty good too.

Last year we paid 20 to 25 Euro each for a meal, two courses, with beer and mineral water.
