Visiting Rome, ITALY with my Mom--Nightlife suggestions?

What places can I drag my Mom to for the after-hours? ;-) I'm 20-ish, she's 50-ish (but looks much younger). She's pretty cool, but I'm sure she would be uncomfortable at a rave dancing club. Are there any chill places, or let's say, interesting/exciting outside drinking places/bars in a piazza that my mom and I would both enjoy? Specifically, maybe with a crowd closer to the age of young 30, than 40 or older. I really appreciate all genuine suggestions.

You can go to Trastevere (Piazza Trilussa), eat in a typical roman restaurant and then have a drink in a pub!

is there anywhere in rome which isn't fun :) ! there are a few good pizzerias which you can go to. in front of the coloseum there is this place called gladiator or something which makes great pizza. in ostiense there is a place called nastro azzuro which also makes pizza. they're both great fun to go to during the night time.

My experience of Rome during the day or at night is that you really do not have to try too hard to find entertainment whether 20 or 50, cool or not.

The places you seek are in abundance in a great city. Enjoy!
