  1. There are a number of the big box stores now. Of course the quantity of goods is a bit more limited. Cost is higher b/c of import duty.

    I sure don't know on a "visit" what you could sell. There is lots here. But not specialty things like crafting supplies, a selection of good small appliances, or a good selection of greeting cards in English, all the good specialty US magazines, or big varieties of foreign food like pasta sauces or gourmet olive oils....things like that. If you find them they cost alot.

    But to try selling on a visit, probably not going to be practical. And you do need to go through Mexican customs, so that in itself is limiting.


  2. Hola!  I live here in SJD.  Believe me, what ever you have thought of, has already been done and done.  Also, we can buy just about anything down here now (we have Costco, Walmart, Office Depot, all those types of stores) Sorry, but its really hard.

    There are so many people who want to figure out a way to work and live down here its crazy.  The only thing I really miss from home is the occasional tim horton coffee. ha ha.  

    Just come down and have a great holiday muchacho.
