  1. There are many options to get to Kiev from America. There are several flights from London each day, same for Paris and other major, western European countries. You no longer need a visa for Ukraine (ever since the 2005 EuroVision in Kiev)!

  2. Why Russia? If you are going to the Ukraine you will not need a visa. If you plan on coming to southern Ukraine spend the money and fly to Odessa directly. It cost a little more but it is worth as you will not have to deal with the Kiev airport.

  3. Use this site to check:

  4. Russia Visa for Canada Passport Holder required. Secure your transit visa in advance to avoid pay too much over there.

If you have enough money you can just go but exit will cost you some.

  5. I'm afraid so :(

    I'm not sure though

  6. Crazy ? or only half ?- fly directly to Paris - then transit to Kiev -

just a valid passport is necessary - no visa - no Russia
