One of my older friends just had a baby this week and I was just wondering how long I should wait to call, or to go see them. Thanks for the help!

  1. i would call her and see how she is doing (if you dont feel comfptable just call her husband) and just ask her do you want any visitors and if she says no you just respect that and if she says then tell her you will be over to see her but i would do it when she comes home from the hospital a lot of woman like to spend the time in the hospital resting

  2. Wait at least a couple of weeks.  When I had my baby, I sure wasn't in the mood for people.  I just wanted to spend time with my baby.

  3. I would call and see how she is doing, but do not ask if she is wanting visitors. that will put her on the spot and she will more than likely say "sure" even though that is not the case. If she wants visitors, she will ask if you want to some over. Iam speaking from 3x the experience!

  4. i would wait a few weeks. i'm pregnant and i personally don't want a ton of people coming by to visit after having the baby. i would say three weeks for people other than immediate family but even then i don't want people staying at our house when we have just had a baby i want peace and quiet and family bonding time.

  5. I'd give her a call and ask how everything is and if she needs anything...I wouldn't keep her on the phone long, and I wouldn't go and see her unless she asks you over.
