  1. where abouts are you going?

edit: oh, I see you edited. Well, Ireland ain't too big so once you have a car it's pretty easy to get anywhere. Cork, far south, is the most attractive of all Ireland. It also has the most stuff , as far as attractions go, and they cater for tourists. Plus, that's where you'll find the best fish, if you you're into that stuff - I am so I thought it worth mentioning. You'll find some types of whales and some smaller sharks down farthest south - on an island you have to access via cable cart.

BTW ... Belfast is Northern Ireland so why are you more than likely going south?

I'll list a good few places but I'm assuming you're going all over the place. The best pubs vary, but I'd have to say they're in Wicklow

    there's:

Glendaloch (Glen-da-loch) - mountain range with good view.

Dingle Bay - where Ireland's famous Dolphin lives - his name's Fungi.

    Powers Court Gardens - Wicklow

It's actually much nicer than the pics show. There's a big waterfall and a nice walking trail running along the riverside.

  2. Sounds as though this is your first time. Just be warned 100 miles is a long drive in rural Ireland. Also all the mountain scenery is on the coast. The bit in the middle is like Lincolnshire. Pubs? Fear not!

  3. Donegal has wonderful scenic walks, great golf,Glenveagh National Park, horse riding in Dunfanaghy, beautiful photo opportunities of the redest sky you'll ever see from Bloody Foreland heights  and is awash with pubs.In Gweedore you'll hear Irish being used as their first language.A short visit to Tory Island might be worth a visit as there's a dolphin who spends a an hour or two each day swimming off the pier with a local dog.My son was in swimming with them last week.Ther's also the challenge of climbing Mnt. Errigal which isn't too hard as our whole family did it a few years back.

  4. mount errigal is nice but its right out the way

try giants causeway or killy begs or just go walking in donegal its got mountains and everything like that

  5. Of course the Ring of Kerry, there is a lake at one end, extremly quaint. Also near this there is an estate that you can tour. If you park at the waterfall, nature park (across the street from the entrance) you can hire a horse buggy to take you in.

Sorry that I am not full of details, names have completly escaped me but it is a nature trail that leads to a waterfall and the estate is beautiful.

We stayed at Glin Castle which was very nice and somewhat centrally located.

Cliffs of Mohr - amazing and spirtual!!

There is a fishing village on the east side above Shannon....

    Pubs are everywhere!

The Blarney Castle has great gardens to stroll through

October will be chilly, bring your sweaters

In Dublin the Temple Bar area is loads of fun and the Book of Kells at Trinity college is a great sight.

Have a wonderful trip it is everything it is supposed to be!!
