Visiting vietnam soon- ho chi mihn city whats the best area to stay in? girls, nightlife?

i like pham ngu lao area coz it has a rustic vietnamese atmosphere. it is very convenient coz there lots of travel agents around, convenient stores, hundreds of rustic cafes and bars with cheap prices (meant for backpackers and many locals visit them too) and you can easily get aquainted with them. the street never seem to sleep. there are also a number of clubs where people are friendly and approachable. and everything seem to be within walking distance.

dong khoi is more upmarket and a little quieter. but there are a number of nice and friendly cafes and bars (pricer than those in pham ngu lao but still cheap to foreigners). i found out that most expats live in dong khoi area and they are the among those frequenting these bars and clubs.

Pham Ngu Lao (Backpackers Area) is the cheapest, lots of guest houses .
