Vista 8gb ram 64x ultimate?

if i install vista ultimate 64bit, will i defiantly get and USE full 8gb ram?

  1. of course not man, it is recommended to have 4GB, but i am sure it will use 1/4 - 1/6 of 4 GB, and if you have a little bit fast RAM like DDR2 800MHz or DDR2 1024 MHz, or if your board supports DDR3, you can get DDR3 1333 MHz it will be fine and smt more than fine with 4 GB


  2. WTH are you planning on running! 8gb!

    I got vista 64 and 4gb ram and i never use all of it.

    all 64 bit apps and windows can use a max of 2^64 bits

    so yes anything up to 128 gb is accepted

  3. Question-will your board support 8GB RAM? All people think that -the more RAM the faster-well it's not that way.Your computer doesn't use ALL RAM all the time,just when he needs it and 8GB -don't know about that.

    I have 4GB and sometimes he uses only 2048 MB ??
