Vista Antivirus 2008, Vista Antivirus2009, Antivirus Master.... what is it? How to stop them from popping up?

What is it? When ever I open my email, I don’t know what type of virus keep on popping up, it is so irritating….., wasting time to wait, and restart the computer. Somethings that I never installed previously, and now my new computer (Vista System) cannot delete these type of funny virus, what should I do? I am here asking for help, the following funny website which I found in the history, it is so tough to delete, there are :

This will take about an hour.

Switch off System Restore - you can re-start it if you choose to when your computer is clean.

Install the free version of SUPERantispyware http://superantispyware.com Update it and run a full scan.

Install ccleaner http://ccleaner.com - run the ccleaner and the registry scans and delete what they find but repeat the registry one until nothing is detected.

Reboot and job done.

I'd also recommend you install a good anti-virus program like avast home edition http://avast.com

and another good anti-spyware program is spybot search and destroy http://safer-networking.org

Vista Antivirus 2008, Vista Antivirus2009 and lots of other Rogue programs are made by the same company. The programs differ only by the name.

These programs get into the computer through Trojans or fake pop-up messages.

To remove it, You will need to delete series of files listed in my offered link.

all the program you've mentioned are fraudulent. they infect computers and then urge people to pay for using them. if you have reputable antispyware (not some winantivirus 2009 thing), then run a scan and deleted every thing it finds. you can also download some free antispyware to take care of all these infections. i recommend malwarebyte's antimalware cos i use it myself http://www.2-spyware.com/review-malwareb...

All of those programs are in the same family i found out. Also, i had two of them, vista antivirus 2008 and antivirus 2008 and i used a removal process i found by googling it. http://www.pchubs.com/blogs/vista-antivi... is one and http://www.pchubs.com/blogs/antivirus-20... i found. it provides a free tool called smitfraudfix that removed all of the antivirus 2008 and vista antivirus 2008 files and the ones that caused the popups. worked like a charm and i didn't spend a dime.
